The first step in the sleepy time ritual begins with a warm bath (37C). A warm bath has a relaxing affect in almost all children. The best time for their bath is between seven and eight at night. If you desire, you can add a few drops of lavender or chamomile essential oils in the bath water.
After the bath, give your baby a massage. Rub a few drops of essential oils on your hands and caress your baby’s back, using round circular movements, massaging from his neck down to his bum then from his shoulders down his arms to his hands. Next, place your tiny baby lying face up and lightly massage his face with your thumbs.
After a nice relaxing massage, it is time to move on to dinnertime. This last meal of the day should be done in a relaxing environment with the TV turned off. Your little baby will love it if you whisper sweet nothings to him.
